Plitvice lakes-ethereal beauty!

In Croatia there is a unique national Park – the Plitvice lakes (Horw. Plitvička jezera). Thousands of tourists from all over the world flock here to overjoyed to merge with the Paradise nature. And it’s hard to believe that once this place was called “devil’s garden”.

The famous lakes are located halfway between Zagreb, the capital of the state, to the Adriatic coast, along which, and found shelter Croatia.

For the first time about the Plitvice lakes is mentioned in the 16th century. But then people had no time for beauty – Balkan Nations were constantly at war with the Ottoman Empire trying to assert their independence. It was at that time the dangerous territory called the “devil’s garden”.
